Meet the Pastor: Dr. Mike Boyd

Dr. Mike Boyd has served as Senior Pastor since November 1997. He and his wife, Sandy, have two sons. Both are involved in businesses in Knoxville.

Dr. Boyd is active in evangelism and discipleship through F.A.I.T.H. Outreach. His denominational involvement includes: T.B.C. President (2004-2005), T.B.C. Executive Board, and Trustee at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Carson-Newman College. Mission involvement includes T.B.C. Disaster Relief, International Missions (Brazil, Ukraine, Philippines, Japan, and China), and North American Missions (Rhode Island, Iowa, West Virginia, Michigan, and Canada). His hobbies include piloting general aviation aircraft, snow skiing, and working out in the local gym.

The Pastor's Heartbeat: "The Bible teaches that the most important commandment is to love God and love people. My desire is to serve others by proclaiming the truth of God's Word to the entire world."
